On Sunday night, Real Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw by newly promoted Elche. Another disappointing result that comes at a high cost for Xabi Alonso, despite his team sitting atop the table. The Spanish coach is under fierce criticism in Spain. He isn't the only one in the spotlight, and after the match, the manager had stern words for one of his players.

That player, of course, was Trent Alexander-Arnold. According to Defensa Central, the Real Madrid manager confronted the Englishman after the match. While he acknowledged being pleased with Alexander-Arnold's attacking contribution, he criticized him for his defensive shortcomings and for not playing with the necessary intensity.
