Real star has been struggling with a fitness issue ahead of showdown at the Bernabeu
Real Madrid have been sweating over the fitness of Kylian Mbappe ahead of their Champions League showdown with Manchester City.
Mbappe did not train with his team-mates on Tuesday in a major fitness worry for under-pressure Real manager Xabi Alonso.
Reports in Spain say Mbappe has a left leg issue and Real are set to make a decision on his involvement on Wednesday. He also suffered a broken finger last weekend.

Real will definitely be without midfielder Edouardo Camavinga, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be sidelined for months after he tore his thigh.
As such, it leaves Alonso in a tricky position for his starting XI at the Bernabeu.
Thibaut Courtois will be in goal and it is likely to be Federico Valverde at right-back due to Alexander-Arnold’s injury, and Raul Asencio’s poor performance in last weekend’s shock 2-0 home defeat by Celta Vigo.
Alvaro Carreras was sent off against Celta Vigo playing as a centre-back, but he could return to the side here with his suspension not counting in the Champions League.
Eder Militao was forced off in the 22nd minute of that match, and is another concern, being replaced by Antonio Rudiger.
Fran Garcia, the left-back, and Endrick were both also sent off against Celta Vigo as Real lost their heads, and Alonso may be in the mood to shake things up.
David Alaba, Dean Huijsen, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, and Alexander-Arnold are all already out with their respective injuries, so the squad is already looking threadbare.
One would presume that Alonso will plump for a 4-3-3 system, praying that Mbappe is fit enough to lead the line.
If not, Gonzalo Garcia, who made a name for himself at the Club World Cup, could play as the No9, although Jude Bellingham could play as a No10 with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as split strikers.
In midfield, Aurelien Tchouameni should start, while Alonso has been liking Arda Guler in a more central position.
Predicted Real Madrid XI (4-3-3): Courtois; Valverde, Rudiger, Carreras, Garcia; Guler, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius
Doubt: Militao
Injured: Alexander-Arnold, Alaba, Carvajal, Mendy, Huijsen
