The Julian Alvarez transfer saga, albeit short-lived, has rocked the Real Madrid camp over the past 48 hours, with the club ultimately seeing their bid rejected by Atletico Madrid.
But the entire saga has distracted us from other key transfer events in and around Real Madrid, particularly surrounding the future of Gonzalo Garcia.
The young forward has emerged as a sought-after prospect in the market, with Como and Borussia Dortmund being tagged as potential suitors.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the future of Garcia, adding that Real Madrid are yet to reach an agreement with Como.
The Italian club appear to have built a good relationship with Los Blancos, having done several deals in the past year or so.
It all started with the signing of Nico Paz, which was a huge success, with the player now set for a return to Santiago Bernabeu. Como also signed Jacobo Ramon on a similar deal.
Now, Cesc Fabregas’ team is looking to bring in Garcia. The young forward has shown what he is capable of but hasn’t received ample opportunities at Real Madrid.

Acquiring the services of Gonzalo Garcia, though, will be a tricky task for Como given the sheer number of suitors for the forward.
Romano suggests the Spaniard has received at least five offers this summer, as clubs look to lure him away from Real Madrid with the promise of more game time.
Borussia Dortmund are among those clubs reportedly interested in Garcia. The German club also harbour an excellent relationship with Real Madrid.
The coming weeks, therefore, could be crucial as Real Madrid look to finalise the future of Garcia, who reportedly has a €60 million price tag.
