Endrick finds himself in a very difficult position at Real Madrid this season, as he is yet to make a single appearance since returning from injury last month.

The 19-year-old was unfortunate to start the new campaign in the infirmary, carrying an injury he suffered last season and by the time he returned Xabi Alonso had locked in Gonzalo Garcia as Kylian Mbappe’s backup.

It has meant that Endrick is the only outfield member yet to see any on-field action this term for Real Madrid and his situation has sparked rumours of a January departure.

Endrick’s father fuels speculations

If there were any doubts about his future, Endrick’s father, Douglas Sousa, made his position clear by commenting on an Instagram post that discussed the situation.

As reported by SPORT, he wrote: “Palmeiras should make an offer, (present) a project.”

Endrick made his breakthrough at Palmeiras before securing a big-money move to Real Madrid in 2024, and his father seemed to suggest that the Brazilian outfit should consider bringing him back.

Not only that, in another social media post, which he has since deleted, Endrick’s father wrote:

“Your moment will surely come, whether at Real Madrid or another club.”

No shortage of suitors

The reality is that Endrick’s short-term future seems increasingly close to being resolved. Unless there is a major change in the coming weeks, his departure from Real Madrid is almost certain.

The 19-year-old is expected to leave Real Madrid on loan in January so as to play regularly and boost his chances of making it to the Brazil squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As has already been reported, multiple clubs across Europe have shown an interest, with Marseille, Manchester United, and Juventus all said to be open to the loan signing of the 19-year-old.
