Real Madrid centre-forward Endrick (19) is currently favouring a January loan move to Lyon, according to L’Equipe. Les Gones have opened talks with Los Merengues to sign the Brazil international striker on a six-month loan in two months’ time, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. The outlet adds that Lyon have been considering signing Endrick for the past couple of days, given they are in the market for a centre-forward following Georges Mikautadze’s deadline day switch to Villarreal.
Talks are reportedly underway between Lyon and Endrick’s advisors at Roc Nation, the agency that also represents Malick Fofana’s interests. Lyon did sign a centre-forward this summer in Martin Satriano, but the Uruguayan was mostly considered as a squad option. L’Equipe adds that Endrick has been informed of Lyon’s interest. The Brazilian understands that Lyon is the only European club without a guaranteed starter up front.
Endrick told his entourage that he currently favours a January loan move to Lyon. Les Gones have had a brilliant start to the season. They are only two points off PSG in Ligue 1 and have a perfect record in the Europa League. L’Equipe understands that Lyon are still a long way off securing Endrick’s signing as other major European clubs would be interested in him. Furthermore, Real Madrid would command a loan fee and ask Lyon to cover a significant part of Endrick’s reported €350k monthly wages.
