A new hero established himself in the colours of Real Madrid late on Saturday evening. This came as Los Blancos battled their way to a last-gasp victory away at Espanyol.

Los Blancos got their La Liga campaign up and running a short time ago, making the trip to Catalunya for the first competitive fixture of José Mourinho’s new tenure.
