Real Sociedad confirm two-year signing of Ainoa Campo from Espanyol | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have confirmed the signing of Ainoa Campo from Espanyol on a two-year deal, their second addition of the summer after Laura Camino. According to Diario Vasco, the club have now announced two of five planned arrivals for next season.

The 29-year-old midfielder adds leadership and experience, having captained Espanyol and run their midfield over the past two years.

After completing her medical at the Policlínica and visiting Anoeta, Campo said she was grateful for the club’s trust and eager to join an ambitious project.

She made 29 appearances last season, scoring 5 goals and supplying two assists, as Real look to reinforce a competitive core for their next Champions campaign.

The rebuild follows confirmed departures of Andreia Jacinto, Claire Lavogez, Lucía Rodríguez, Lucía Pardo and Emma Ramírez, with recruitment focused on midfield and attack, and experience in Liga F and abroad.

Real are set to add goals with strikers Sonya Keefe of Granada, who scored 11 in Liga F, and Ava Seelenfreund, an American forward who hit 12 last term for Torreense in Portugal. Winger Ainhoa Marín, a standout at Deportivo de la Coruña with 6 goals and 5 assists, is also due to join.

The club still need to make three of the five arrivals official and present them, with the intention that all are ready for the start of pre-season on 14 July.
