Real Sociedad extend Luken Beitia’s contract to 2030

Real Sociedad have tied down Luken Beitia, 22, to a new contract running until 2030, three years beyond his previous 2027 deal.

The club said in a statement that the Elgoibar-born defender’s deal runs to the end of the 2029-30 season. He joined at youth level, has been a key figure for Sanse in recent seasons, and has made five first-team appearances.

Beitia is currently in pre-season with the first team under Pellegrino Matarazzo. A decision is pending on whether he stays with the senior squad or spends another year with Sanse in Segunda División.

If he remains with Sanse, the first team could still use him when required.

His extension adds to recent renewals for Lebarbier and Agote.
