Rodri has left Manchester City after seven seasons to join Barcelona on a four-year contract running to 30 June 2030. The club said in a statement that an agreement had been reached for the Spain captain.

Barcelona did not disclose the fee, which Manchester City put at 76.5 million euros including add-ons. The 2026 world champion and 2024 Ballon d'Or winner returns to La Liga.
