Real Sociedad star limps out of Las Palmas clash with injury | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have on Sunday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments early in the club’s latest outing.

Real Sociedad marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Gran Canaria for a La Liga meeting with relegation-battling Las Palmas.

When all was said and done, the Basque outfit emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result, owing to goals on the part of all of Mikel Oyarzabal, Sergio Gómez, and Jon Aramburu.

As alluded to above, though, their eventual victory came at a cost.

This came after a leading member of the defensive ranks in Imanol’s squad was forced into a first-half exit from the action.

The player in question? Igor Zubeldia.

With 23 minutes on the clock at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, stopper Zubeldia pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular concern, quickly hauled off as a result.

As much marks a major source of concern for Real Sociedad, who are already without the services of fellow central defenders Nayef Aguerd and Jon Pacheco owing to injury.
