Real Sociedad ‘to discuss’ Obrador move after Algarve meeting, Deportivo also keen | OneFootball

Marco Silva does not have Rafael Obrador in his plans at Benfica, and a return to Spain now looks the most likely outcome. Real Sociedad have shown interest, with Deportivo La Coruña also monitoring the left-back.

Rádio MARCA Donostia reports that Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay and sporting director Erik Bretos met Benfica officials in the Algarve to discuss a potential transfer.

Benfica chiefs Rui Costa and Mário Branco were with the squad for friendlies against Flamengo and Villarreal, using the trip south to progress market business.

Deportivo want to strengthen at left-back and would welcome Obrador’s return, having had him in 2024/25 before he joined Benfica.

Since arriving, Obrador has made only one official appearance for the first team and remains with the B team while his future is resolved. With several clubs watching, the coming days could prove decisive as he seeks to relaunch his career.
