Real Sociedad to play Athletic during international break for Euskal Herria Txapela final | OneFootball

Real Sociedad will host Athletic at Anoeta on two October during the international break in the final of the Euskal Herria Txapela.

According to Diario Vasco, the friendly kicks off at 19.00 and brings together the two Basque clubs who collected the most points across last season’s derbies.

Both coaches will be without their internationals because of the break. The match will also pay tribute to Mikel Etxarri, honoured by supporters in Donostia for his long career and his work in coach education.

The official presentation of the fixture will take place next Monday, when full event details will be set out.

Representatives of both clubs will attend alongside two legends. José Ángel Iribar for the rojiblancos and Inaxio Kortabarria for the txuri urdin will present at Anoeta the trophy that will go to the winners.
