Real Sociedad visit bottom side Valencia after Europa Cup boost | OneFootball

Real Sociedad travel to bottom side Valencia in Liga F on Sunday at 19:30, fresh from a midweek victory over Hearts in the Europa Cup. Both sides are in need of points. Valencia have yet to register a point in the league.

According to Diario Vasco, Gorka Álvarez’s team view this as a chance to change their domestic momentum.

They kept a clean sheet against the Scots and scored four. The team had targeted sharper attacking play and greater defensive solidity, and finally put both on the pitch.

In his pre-match briefing, Álvarez said it is the result, more than the feel of the European game, that encourages them for the Valencia fixture.

Away from tactics, there is a yellow weather alert for rainfall in the Valencian Community, so conditions will be watched.
