Real Sociedad have told supporters that all categories of member must register via a form to attend the Champions League return leg against Chelsea at Zubieta on Wednesday 2 September, with any oversubscribed allocation distributed by order of sign-up.

According to Diario Vasco, the form opens on Thursday at 15.00 and will stay live until the quota is reached or, at the latest, Monday 31. The club will also release a set number of tickets for general sale.

The policy covers all club members, including those who specifically joined the women’s team, holders of the men’s pass that grants access to all women’s matches, and RS Fans. The club cites capacity control as the reason everyone must pre-book a seat through the form, meaning there is no priority for the women’s section members.

This stance departs from last August’s launch of the women’s season ticket, which was advertised as covering every home game with unassigned seating at the new Zubieta ground and an assured place.

At that time the team were not in European competition and the club’s note did not differentiate by tournament. It could now mean that, for one of the section’s biggest fixtures, some supporters who have paid the 95 euros adult women’s pass for two years and attend regularly might miss out if demand is high.
