Napoli have finalized the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Miguel Gutierrez, which will allow them to bring in new players. The first will be Costantino Favasuli, whom they blocked early in the summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, he’ll move to Campania on a €1M loan with a €6.2M obligation to buy. The Partenopei will finally manage to onboard a young right-back to deputize Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Their captain isn’t going anywhere, though, as he’s closing in on a contract extension. The Fiorentina product broke out in Serie B over the last two seasons. He registered 2 goals and 9 assists in 41 matches in the most recent campaign.
Napoli are also trying to complete the Benoit Badiashile deal with Chelsea. They have proposed €3M to have him temporarily for one season and are negotiating the option to buy. He’s the only defender they are in talks with at the moment.
The exit of Lukaku might not be enough for the Azzurri to go after Gabriel Jesus. They also need to decide what to do with Noa Lang and Lorenzo Lucca. They’d be set offensively if they didn’t leave. Ajax are targeting the winger, while there’s been little activity around the center-forward, Corriere dello Sport informs. The Arsenal star could eventually be purchased for €20M. Instead, despite their early approach, Ezequiel Zeballos is now close to Celta Vigo for €7.5M, Tyc Sports relays (via Tuttomercatoweb).
They technically don’t have a lot of holes if Kevin De Bruyne and David Neres stay, but they have been moving at a slowpoke-like pace so far. Since their defenders have been dropping like flies, it’s paramount to bring in a warm body in a hurry.
