The Copa do Brasil quarter-finals will feature a record six foreign head coaches, the first time they outnumber Brazilians at this stage.

According to Globo.com, the eight quarter-finalists are led by Abel Ferreira of Palmeiras, Artur Jorge of Cruzeiro, Luís Castro of Grêmio, Pedro Emanuel of Vasco, Eduardo Domínguez of Atlético-MG and Paulo Pezzolano of Internacional.

The two Brazilian coaches in the last eight are Jair Ventura at Vitória and Cuca at Santos.

The previous high came in 2024, when four foreign managers oversaw half of the quarter-finalists. The tally has doubled from 2025, when three reached this round.

There were no foreign coaches in the 2018 quarter-finals. In the 1990s and early 2000s their presence was sporadic, including Pablo Forlán and Rojas at São Paulo, and Juan Carrasco at Athletico.
