TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing

Red Bull New York have exercised their purchase option on Mijahir Jiménez, fully acquiring the forward from Panamanian side CD Plaza Amador.

The 19-year-old has signed a two-year MLS contract through the 2027-28 season with options through the 2030-31 season.

"Mijahir has earned this opportunity through his hard work, professionalism, and development since joining our club,” said head of sport Julian de Guzman. "He has embraced our playing style, continues to improve every day, and has shown he is ready for the next step."

Jiménez has been with Red Bull New York II for the last two seasons, where he tallied 11g/6a in 33 MLS NEXT Pro matches.

Jiménez has featured in two MLS matches on a short-term agreement, and memorably netted a brace in a 3-2 win over Orlando City on Aug. 1.

"Mijahir has continued to improve, and we are excited to have him with us as he takes the next step in his development," said head coach Michael Bradley. "Through his work ethic and his commitment in training every day, he deserves this opportunity, and we can’t wait to continue working with him."
