According to Globo.com, the referee's match report from Vasco's 1-0 win over Vitória at São Januário details a half-time confrontation after Cauan Barros was sent off, alleging insults by Felipe and Admar Lopes and an attempted assault by club staff.

Referee Matheus Delgado Candançan wrote that performance coordinator Daniel Felix confronted the team en route to the tunnel in a coarse, offensive manner, questioned the dismissal and blocked their path.

A staff member identified as a club security then ran towards the officials, shouted abuse and had to be held back by officers, which sparked a broader disturbance.

Goalkeeping coach Nelcirio Franchin, director of football Admar Lopes and technical director Felipe tried to reach the officials, pushing against police. The report says Felipe Loureiro and Franchin used profane language, including shouts about a handball and calling the referee a coward.

As the officials reached the access tunnel and began descending the stairs, Franchin is said to have tried to punch the fourth official. He was prevented from landing a blow by police.
