Régis Le Bris says Chemsdine Talbi could still leave Sunderland, with the Morocco international left out of this week's Europa League squad and the Saudi Arabia and Türkiye windows still open.

According to Sunderland Echo, Al-Ittihad are in talks with Sunderland over Talbi, while Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have been linked.

Le Bris confirmed a transfer remains on the table and stressed the need to respect all parties. He said Talbi retains major potential and that the remaining window allows time to decide the right pathway.

He added that he would be disappointed to lose the 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2030, though the player's choice will be respected. Talbi joined from Club Brugge last summer in a package worth around £20.5million and contributed important goals in Sunderland's first Premier League season back.

Sunderland explored a specialist right-sided attacker in the summer but ended the window without one. Le Bris insists he is comfortable with current options, citing Malick Fofana, Nilson Angulo, Trai Hume, Nordi Mukiele and Thomas Meunier as flexible solutions.

He believes the Premier League increasingly rewards balance over two orthodox wingers, and says Sunderland can deploy a more defensively secure player on one flank while still carrying threat. He added that discussions over the squad are ongoing.

The Turkish window closes on Friday, September 4, and Saudi Pro League clubs have until Sunday, September 6 to complete deals, leaving a short period for any Talbi move to be resolved.
