Stade de Reims are trying to overtake Premier League side Burnley FC in the race to sign Ajax winger Mohamed Daramy (21), according to a report this Saturday from Foot Mercato. The French publication understands that the Amsterdam-based outfit have already agreed to sell the Danish striker to the newly-promoted Clarets in a €16m move. Daramy is tied to Ajax over a contract set to expire in 2026. The 21-year-old is not expected to stick around in Eredivisie as he was allowed to spend last season on loan at FC Copenhagen. The versatile winger logged nine goals and seven assists in 41 games played with the Superligaen side.

Foot Mercato reports that Reims are very interested in Daramy and are willing to compete with the Vincent Kompany-led side for his signing. The French publication understand that Reims’ opening bid fell just below Burnley’s valuation of Daramy. However, the player has reportedly not made his choice yet between Reims and Burnley.
