According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo are finalising the sale of Wallace Yan to Bragantino, a deal worth six million euros plus forward Juliano Viana, 18, valued at 1.5 million euros.
Viana was released by Palmeiras in July for disciplinary reasons. He belonged to Bragantino and had been on loan to Palmeiras, then returned to Bragança Paulista.
At Palmeiras since 2025, he featured for the under-17s and under-20s, scoring four in 10 and three in 19 respectively. Considered a major prospect, his off-field issues have hampered progress.
At Bragantino since the age of 13, the 1.84 metre striker has already had senior minutes. FlaBase and FlaZoeiro revealed his identity as the player included in the Wallace Yan negotiation.
The report adds that an internal source gave a bleak assessment, saying even João Paulo Sampaio could not steady him and branding him among the academy’s most difficult. Sampaio has led Palmeiras’ youth set-up since May 2015.
The piece also notes Flamengo should be alert to his record and be ready to support him, and that if they can revive him it would be a big win for the academy led by Alfredo Almeida. Even so, it warns the valuation, about R$ nine million, represents a risk for a player Palmeiras let go and Bragantino did not strongly retain, and only time will tell if the deal is worthwhile.
