Rémi Himbert signs first professional contract with Lyon | OneFootball

Rémi Himbert has signed his first professional contract with Olympique Lyonnais, a deal running until 30 June 2028.

The agreement was made official on Tuesday. The club said in a statement that it remains committed to promoting Academy talent, highlighting the emergence this season of Khalis Merah, Mathys De Carvalho and Adil Hamdani.

Himbert, 18 and born on 29 February 2008, joined Lyon in the summer of 2023 from US Thionville Lusitanos.

He made his professional debut in the 2-1 win against Brest on 18 January, then opened his Lyon account late in January against PAOK Salonika in the Europa League.

Last Thursday he struck an equaliser against Lens in the Coupe de France quarter-final, but Lyon went out 4-5 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. He has already scored three goals for the club.
