Rémy Descamps extends Lyon contract to 2029

Rémy Descamps, 29, has extended his Olympique Lyonnais contract to 2029, the club said in a statement.

The goalkeeper had been tied to June 2027 and has now added two further seasons. He joined on a free in summer 2024 and has emerged as a dependable deputy and a dressing-room leader.

Since the start of the season he has featured 12 times, keeping seven clean sheets, and has filled in for teammate Dominik Greif, 28, when Paulo Fonseca has called on him.

He started all four of OL’s Coupe de France ties this season and also featured four times across the Europa League and Ligue 1.

A Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate, Descamps previously turned out for Tours FC, Clermont Foot and Royal Charleroi SC. He has made 15 appearances for Lyon.
