Rennes won the Breton derby 3-1 after two Kenny Lala errors in a minute, ruthlessly punished by Mousa Al-Tamari. According to L'Équipe, Al-Tamari earned 7/10 for the display that flipped the game.

Brest started fast, Samba saved from Guindo in the second minute and from Mboup moments later. Doumbia hit the bar in the fourth, then supplied Baldé for the opener in the 13th.

Rennes levelled on 24 minutes when Lala’s slip and errant back-pass gifted Al-Tamari, who squared for Estéban Lepaul. From the restart, another weak pass towards Chardonnet was seized upon by Al-Tamari, who finished left-footed between Coudert’s legs on 25 minutes.

Booked on 29 minutes, Al-Tamari stayed lively and saw a strike blocked by Coulibaly on 59. He went off to an ovation for Seidu on 79.

Lepaul, rated 6/10, claimed his ninth of the season, the eighth for Rennes, before making way for Meïté on 78. Meïté sealed it with a left-foot finish on 87. Breel Embolo battled before Fofana replaced him on 79 and almost added a fourth in the second minute of added time.

Samba stayed alert, denying Mboup on 76 and Labeau-Lascary in the fourth minute of added time. Doumbia, given 6/10, drove Brest early on but faded and was withdrawn for Dina Ebimbe on 81. Lala was marked 2/10, his costly lapse decisive.
