Rennes eye Lens striker Odsonne Édouard in late window push | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Rennes are pushing to sign a central striker in the final 48 hours of the window and are seriously exploring a move for Lens forward Odsonne Édouard.

This comes alongside their work on the Boulaye Dia file, with both avenues being pursued in parallel.

There are genuine chances that Édouard could be lured before tomorrow night, although nothing is closed at this stage. The deal could take the form of a paid loan with an option to buy.

Édouard, 28, is under contract until 2028.

He did not start Lens’s opening Ligue 1 match against Auxerre, a 5-2 win on 22 August, due to adductor discomfort. He then missed the trip to Strasbourg on Saturday, a 1-2 defeat, for personal reasons.
