Foot Mercato report that Ligue 1 side Rennes have submitted a €2.5m offer to French 2nd division side Nîmes for 26-year-old Norwegian left-back Birger Meling, further suggesting that Faitout Maouassa will be sold to the Bundesliga this summer.
SRFC are in positive negotiations with the player over a contract, but face major competition from Besiktas who have made a €3.5m + bonuses bid to Les Crocos and can offer Meling Champions’ League football.
