There was one big sale in the Stade Rennais defence during the winter transfer window, and there could have been another, as per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter

Jérémy Jacquet signed for Liverpool in what was a club-record sale for Rennes, even if the Breton club have succeeded in retaining the Frenchman until the end of the current campaign. That is a big boost for Rennes in their push to secure some form of European football for next season.

However, there could have been another departure in the form of Lilian Brassier (26). The former Stade Brestois centre-back joined Rennes from Olympique de Marseille in January 2025, initially on loan before making the move permanent for €12m in the summer.

Despite playing 19 games for Les Rennais this season, the former France youth international has not excelled and Toubache-Ter understands that the club were open to a sale in January. The same will likely go for the summer.
