The pressure is mounting on Stade Rennais head coach Julien Stéphan after a poor start to the Ligue 1 campaign sees Rennes sat in 12th ahead of the Derby de la Bretagne against Stade Brestois. The manager will need to turn results around quickly and will hope a local rivalry could spur some change.
Stéphan makes only two changes from the lineup that was defeated 2-1 at home by AS Monaco. In the middle of the defence, Christopher Wooh starts in place of Leo Østigård who has picked up an injury and will not travel to the Stade Francis-Le Blé.
In attack, Amine Gouiri is picked as part of the front three instead of summer signing Albert Grønbæk. The Algerian international will line up on the left flank with Ludovic Blas on the right and Arnaud Kalimuendo leading the front as a number nine.
