Rennes are pursuing a deadline day move for FSV Mainz striker Arnaud Nordin (27), according to Le ParisienThe Bretons are keen to bolster Habib Beye’s options up front as his attacking players have hit a rough patch recently. Rennes only scored one goal in their last three Ligue 1 games. Rennes have parted ways with promising Academy graduate Kader Meïté, who joined Al-Hilal in a €30m deal.

Meïté will be replaced by Famalicão’s Yassir Zabiri, but it appears Rennes are keen to sign an extra striker in Nordin. The Frenchman would make a return to Ligue 1 after previous spells in Montpellier and Saint-Etienne. Le Parisien understands that Rennes and Mainz are in talks over loan with an option to buy. Nordin is contracted with Mainz until June 2028.
