Qualified for the Europa League and a podium contender, Rennes left it late to bolster their attack, landing Boulaye Dia on loan from Lazio with an option to buy.
Minutes after the window closed, the club announced an agreement for the 29-year-old. According to L'Équipe, the loan costs €2m with an €8m purchase option.

The Senegal forward returns to Ligue 1 five years after leaving. He made 144 top-flight appearances for Reims.
Dia then moved to Villarreal in Spain, where he played in the Champions League in 2021.
He continued his career in Italy, first with Salernitana, then joined Lazio in 2024. He now departs to rejoin the French top flight.
