Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has left open the prospect of managing Inter Milan in the future.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 55-year-old would need to take a massive pay cut to return to San Siro.
Indeed, he arrived at the Metropolitano Stadium in 2011 and has since turned Atletico into one of the continent’s superpowers.

Inter appointed Cristian Chivu as Simone Inzaghi’s successor in June.
Furthermore, the 45-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Giuseppe Meazza.
Therefore, it’s hard to expect the Nerazzurri to part ways with the former defender in the foreseeable future.
However, Simeone’s return to Serie A remains an exciting possibility.
Indeed, the Argentine spent two years at Inter between 1997 and 1999 before joining Lazio.
Yet, he has spent his entire managerial career in Europe at Atletico.
Moreover, he’s among the highest-paid managers, with an annual salary of €16.6 million.
