FC Barcelona were presented with the La Liga title last night as they played at their home stadium for the first time, and also the last time, since wrapping up the title with their win over RCD Espanyol in their last league game.

Undoubtedly, this was a great achievement for the Catalan team, and the players and the coaching staff took their time celebrating this achievement in front of their fans at the Montjuic last night, even though their match against Villarreal had ended in a 2-3 defeat.

Szczesny’s son and Yamal’s brother

The Spanish publication MARCA has highlighted five moments from these celebrations that stood out, as the players celebrated their achievement with their families.

One of the most heart-rending scenes from this celebration was Wojciech Szczesny playing with his young son on the pitch. Despite his tender years, Szczesny’s son displayed his footballing abilities with a bicycle kick, as his father protected the goalposts.

Lamine Yamal and his young brother, Keyne, were the stars of two other notable moments from this night. In one such moment, the child could be seen wearing snow goggles, similar to his elder brother. In another scene, Keyne was visibly afraid of the club mascot, Cat, and he ran away a significant distance after coming face to face with the mascot.

Two more Barcelona players celebrate with their families

The midfielder Gavi starred in another such memorable moment, as he strolled on the pitch with his girlfriend Ana Pelayo after having celebrated the La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup triumph with the fans.

Lastly, the defender Inigo Martinez was seen holding his newborn baby along with his partner. Although the child would not remember it, this would definitely have been an unforgettable night for his parents, especially for his father.

With these celebrations, Barcelona bid farewell to Montjuic, as this was their last home game for the season and they are set to return to Camp Nou the next season. Hopefully, the players would get another chance to celebrate next year as well.
