It is claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic undermined Milan coach Paulo Fonseca by sending him out of the locker room to speak privately with the players on his first day.
The Swede is the only man standing after RedBird chief Gerry Cardinale sacked coach Max Allegri, CEO Giorgio Furlani, director of sport Igli Tare and technical director Geoffrey Moncada with a single, brutal statement.
Now Ibrahimovic and Cardinale are choosing the next leaders of the club, but the fans are increasingly irritated at the power given to the former player.

During a Sportmediaset event this evening, Milan reporter Carlo Pellegatti alleged that the problem with Ibra’s behaviour goes back a long way.
“When Fonseca arrived, his first day of training, Zlatan Ibrahimovic presented him to the squad and then said in front of everyone, OK now I am going to speak, Fonseca has to go outside.
“So the players see that Ibrahimovic is holding court and Fonseca is pushed out. Have you ever seen anything of the sort? If you act like that, it’s over before it begins.
“This is why Max Allegri was needed there, he was the one who pushed Zlatan out.”
Fonseca did not last long at Milan, only from July to the end of December 2024, before he was sacked to make way for Sergio Conceicao.

This does back up the reports of ugly clashes between Allegri and Ibrahimovic, one of which even got physical at a restaurant when allegedly separated by Tare.
It was also claimed that Ibrahimovic had individually called up Milan players to give them tactical advice that was the opposite of what their coach had suggested in training.
The former player does not technically have a role within the club, he is the Special Advisor to RedBird, who are the majority shareholders of AC Milan.
