Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly earmarked Tottenham Hotspur star Guglielmo Vicario as an ideal replacement for Yann Sommer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 20-time Italian champions are the frontrunners to secure the goalkeeper’s signature.

It’s now a near-certainty that Yann Sommer will sever ties with the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

Indeed, his contract runs out in June, with the club unwilling to offer him fresh terms.

Therefore, Beppe Marotta is on the lookout for a new goalkeeper.

Inter had tried to sign Guglielmo Vicario before his transfer to North London in 2023, but they failed.

Fast forward three years, the Nerazzurri could sign the 29-year-old, who looks destined to return to Serie A in the summer.

However, Vicario won’t come cheap, with Spurs reportedly demanding around €25 million to sanction his exit.

Meanwhile, Inter have overtaken Juventus in the race for the former Empoli ace.

Indeed, signing a new shot-stopper is not a priority for Juventus, which puts Inter in pole position.
