Inter Milan could reportedly add to Cristian Chivu’s defensive options toward the end of the summer transfer window.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, Beppe Marotta remains in the market for at least one defensive reinforcement.
The signing of Andy Diouf may not be Inter’s final piece of business this summer.
Indeed, Marotta continues to scour the market for a new defender, with Inter set to sever ties with Tomas Palacios.

Cristian Chivu has deemed Palacios surplus to requirements, prompting the club to put the Argentine up for sale.
However, after a failed transfer to Rayo Vallecano, Inter have struggled to attract interest in the 22-year-old.
Nonetheless, they are hellbent on offloading the out-of-favor defender in the coming days.
Palacios’ departure would open up a spot for a new central defender.
Yet, it would be a signing aimed at the future rather than an immediate solution.
Meanwhile, Inter would pursue another defender if Benjamin Pavard were to leave San Siro.
The Frenchman started last night’s game against Torino, but Inter may still sell him for the right price.
