A major development has surfaced in Spain, with Fichajes reporting that Manchester City are preparing to launch an extraordinary move for Real Madrid talent Arda Guler.
The Premier League champions are said to be willing to pay close to €100 million for the Turkish sensation, an offer that instantly places him among the most sought-after young footballers in Europe.
Guler’s rapid rise at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso has been nothing short of spectacular.
After initially needing time to adapt, the 20-year-old has now established himself as one of the brightest sparks in Alonso’s attack.
His influence has been so striking that he has become one of the names most discussed in La Liga.
Naturally, performances of this level do not go unnoticed. Across Europe, several elite clubs have been monitoring him closely, but Manchester City have emerged as the most determined suitor.
As such, Pep Guardiola is reportedly fascinated by Guler’s ability to dictate rhythm and break defensive lines with his creativity.

Those close to Guardiola claim he views Guler as a player tailor-made for his system. For that reason, the club appear ready to test Real Madrid’s resolve with an offer nearing €100 million.
Despite the enormous figure, Madrid have made their stance clear that they are not interested in doing any business.
Within the club, the belief is that Guler still has huge room for development and the potential to become an essential figure in the club’s next generation.
His ability to perform under pressure, combined with a mentality admired by the coaching staff, means Real Madrid see him as a long-term investment rather than a player to cash in on.
Even so, Manchester City’s persistence is drawing attention.
Reports claim Guardiola has asked the Premier League club to study whether a higher proposal would be feasible.
