Report Oulai ready for Fiorentina at €30m after Trabzonspor ‘kidnap’ explained | OneFootball

More details are emerging on the mystery of Christ Inai Oulai’s disappearance from Trabzonspor today, as it’s reported he is ready to fly out for his Fiorentina transfer tonight.

The midfielder was expected to already be in Italy today and a flight had been prepared from Istanbul to Florence, but was cancelled as more details had to be worked out.

There were also some truly bizarre reports coming out of Turkiye that someone pretending to be from Trabzonspor had picked him up from the airport today as he flew to Istanbul from the Ivory Coast.

Sky Sport Italia insist this was not an attempted kidnapping, but rather Oulai wanted to take the contracts to a lawyer he trusts outside of the two clubs to have them examined carefully.

Oulai wanted to be sure of Fiorentina move

Now Sportitalia and SpaceViola maintain that the contracts have been looked at and signed, so the player is ready to fly out this evening.

It is reported to be a deal worth €30m including add-ons, with Trabzonspor also given a 20 per cent cut of any future sale fee.

The 20-year-old had been purchased from Bastia last year for €5.5m plus a 20 per cent cut of the profit, so they will benefit from the move too.

Despite only turning 20 in April, Oulai already has 13 senior caps for the Ivory Coast and was at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

He made 31 appearances for Trabzonspor, scoring two goals with four assists.
