Report provides fresh injury update on Bayern youngster Lennart Karl

Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl is nearing a return to full team training.

According to kicker, the 18-year-old is expected to rejoin full training with his teammates this week after recovering from the muscle fibre tear he suffered just before the World Cup.

Karl could even feature for a few minutes when Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign against VfB Stuttgart on Friday.

The young winger is coming off a breakthrough season with Bayern, which saw him score nine goals and provide eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
