Reports: Tijuana open to goalkeeper swap deal with Chivas | OneFootball

Jonathan Orozco has yet again been linked with a move to Chivas.

The Tijuana goalkeeper is understood to have wanted to join the Flock for some time in order to improve his chances of becoming first choice for Mexico.

Los Rojiblancos – for their part – are under pressure to sort out their goalkeeping issues.

Chivas manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich has spent the last year fluctuating between Antonio Rodríguez and Raúl Gudiño as his first choice between the posts.

The former got the nod for Saturday’s 2021 Apertura opener at home to Atlético San Luis, only to make a mistake that led to the visitors’ crucial second and winning goal.

It was no surprise in the aftermath of the defeat to see 35-year-old Orozco’s name thrown up as an alternative.

What lends some weight to the fresh reports is that Xolos are said to be interested in a swap deal, with Gudiño heading in the opposite direction.
