Returning From Injury Tottenham Hotspur Star ‘Offered’ To Club | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has been ‘offered’ to Fiorentina through an intermediary ahead of the new season, with La Viola now evaluating the conditions of a potential deal.

The 45-cap Sweden international did not feature for a single minute last season after suffering a serious knee injury in May of last year.

The Swede was unable to recover in time for the World Cup despite head coach Graham Potter expressing optimism earlier this year that he could still make the squad.

Sweden’s national team doctor admitted in May that the Tottenham forward’s injury had proved particularly difficult to manage, although he also insisted there remained ‘high hopes’ of seeing him return to action.

Tottenham begin their pre-season schedule this week with a friendly against MK Dons and, although Kulusevski has resumed training on the grass, he is unlikely to feature in Roberto De Zerbi’s matchday squad.

Fresh developments, however, have now cast doubt over whether his long-term future still lies in N17.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the 26-year-old has been ‘offered’ to Fiorentina through an intermediary.

The Florence-based club are considering the Tottenham attacker alongside several alternative targets and are carefully assessing every aspect of a potential deal, particularly given he is only just returning from a lengthy injury layoff.

Kulusevski has two years remaining on his contract and, before his setback, was a key figure in the squad, making 50 appearances in all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign as Spurs lifted the Europa League.

He finished that season with an impressive return of ten goals and eleven assists under former manager Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham, however, are now undergoing a major rebuild under De Zerbi, with midfield and defence already strengthened while attention is beginning to shift towards reinforcing the attack.

The north London club have held initial talks with Manchester City over Savinho, while AC Milan star Rafael Leao, who appears increasingly likely to leave San Siro, is also being monitored.

Richarlison, meanwhile, has emerged as a target for Juventus should they fail to secure their preferred option, former Spurs loanee Randal Kolo Muani.
