Revealed – What New San Siro Will Look Like After City Council Approves Sale To AC Milan & Inter

AC Milan and Inter Milan have finally acquired the ownership of San Siro and the surrounding areas, with construction of the new stadium expected to begin soon.
According to La Repubblica via FCInter1908, the new venue will become functional in 2031.
Months of waiting paid off last night as the Milan City Council approved the sale of San Siro to the Serie A clubs.
Therefore, Milan and Inter will soon embark on the construction process, looking to build a state-of-the-art 71,500-seat stadium.

The new stadium will sit within 140,000 square meters of green space.
Meanwhile, a portion of the old Meazza will remain as a tribute to the ‘Cathedral of Football.’
Furthermore, famous architects Norman Foster and David Manica will design the project.
Approved by the City Council, the stadium aims to transform the San Siro area.
Moreover, the new facility will meet UEFA Category 4 and FIFA Category 1 standards.
Then, its purpose will be to draw around 11.6 million visitors annually, generating an estimated €4.6 billion in economic impact.
