Forward Djorkaeff Reasco, a possible starter, said Flamengo’s win does not sap Del Valle’s motivation, speaking in the mixed zone in Ecuador. He is expected to cover for top scorer Charli Gonzalez, who was injured in the first leg. He added the tie is open and they will go after the win with the same desire.

Centre-back Mateo Carabajal acknowledged the challenge before travelling to Rio de Janeiro, yet spoke of belief in turning the tie. He is also in contention to start.

Flamengo lead 2-0 and can even lose by one and still advance to the Libertadores semi-finals. Del Valle need a win by two to force penalties. Kick-off is on Thursday 17 at 21:30 Brasília time, with live coverage on ESPN and Disney+.
