Eduardo Coudet has included Thiago Almada among River’s starters in training ahead of Sunday’s game against Argentinos Juniors at the Monumental, with the hosts under pressure to claim their first three points of the Clausura.

According to SuperDepor.com, the former Vélez and Atlético de Madrid player worked with the main XI on Thursday. If Coudet sticks with that selection, Almada would replace Tomás Galván as the only change from the defeat by Tigre.

The likely line-up is Santiago Beltrán, Gonzalo Montiel, Nicolás Otamendi, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Francisco Ortega, Aníbal Moreno, Tomás Andrada, Joaquín Freitas, Ángel Correa, Thiago Almada and Lucas Beltrán.

Almada joined River on Monday and, despite limited sessions, could already secure a starting berth.

River’s form is worrying, with four Clausura defeats and no goals scored. Before that, they were knocked out of the Copa Argentina by Aldosivi and lost the Torneo Apertura final to Belgrano.
