River Plate announced on Saturday an agreement with Atlético de Madrid to sign midfielder Thiago Almada, 25. The Argentine returns to his homeland after a season in Europe.
Spanish newspapers put the fee at 20 million euros, around R$ 128 million. The move continues the club’s spending in the current transfer window.

Developed at Vélez Sarsfield, he built his career overseas before drawing River Plate’s approach.
