Robbie Ure, previously on Strasbourg's shortlist, has joined Sevilla, with the Andalusian club confirming the 22-year-old striker's arrival on Tuesday.
Strasbourg will miss out next season. Seeking a centre-forward at a reasonable cost due to UEFA financial fair play constraints and the ACL injury to Joaquin Panichelli, who is sidelined until the end of the calendar year, the Alsace side had targeted the Scot.
The 1.89m forward, developed at Glasgow Rangers, has been among Sweden's most prolific players.
In 2025 he scored 15 goals in 15 league appearances for IK Sirius, adding two assists. He also struck five times in five Swedish Cup matches.
Ure has signed with Sevilla until 2031.
He will become the third Scottish player to wear the club's shirt since the start of the 20th century, after "Ted" McMinn and Duncan McVean Thomson.
