FC Barcelona played today against Athletic Club for their grand return to Camp Nou. And as early as the 4th minute, Robert Lewandowski netted the very first goal at the renovated stadium.

The Catalan club was finally back at their legendary ground, reopened after the first phase of renovations. This was Barça's first home game since May 2023. Lewandowski, captaining Barça for the occasion, looked highly motivated. In the 4th minute, he controlled the ball just outside the box, drove into the penalty area, and fired off a shot. Keeper Unai Simón got a touch, but couldn't keep it out.
