Robert Lewandowski has been one of the biggest names to play for FC Barcelona in the post-Lionel Messi era, arriving at quite a difficult time for the Blaugrana club and helping them achieve success against very difficult odds.

Despite his age, there is no doubt that he still remains one of the very top strikers in Europe. However, his time with the Catalan club is almost at an end, as Mundo Deportivo reports that the Pole took to his Instagram to announce his departure from Barcelona at the end of this season.

The Polish veteran published the following message to announce his departure:

After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships. I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days. Catalonia is my place on earth. Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years. A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career. Barça is back where it belongs. Visca el Barça. Visca Catalunya 💙❤️

In total, Robert Lewandowski won 7 titles with Barcelona, including 3 La Ligas, 1 Copa del Rey, and 3 Spanish Super Cups, and all of these cup competitions were won by beating Real Madrid in the finals. He scored 6 goals in 11 El Clásicos.

For now, it remains to be seen where he would land for the next season, but he has no shortage of suitors, and Blaugrana fans would now be supporting him in his next chapter in life.
