According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio former Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi is now open to considering a five-year contract proposal from Tottenham Hotspur – who are pushing hard for the Italian after confirming the departure of Igor Tudor in the last 24 hours. Discussions are now set to follow to reach an agreement between the two parties. De Zerbi’s position could be shifting, only previously considering a potential return to the Premier League up until this point in the case that Spurs stay up in the division next season. The former Brighton & Hove Albion head coach left Marseille in February after an eventful 18-month stint where he returned the club to the Champions League, but this season showed wild inconsistency and fluctuating form amid all sorts of tensions around the club. De Zerbi had previously been linked to Tottenham following the departure of Thomas Frank, before Spurs opted for another former OM boss in Igor Tudor to take the reigns of the club for only 44 days. Tottenham are still yet to win a game in 2026 and sit 17th in the Premier League table. GFFN | George Boxall
