Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach winger Robin Hack is set to extend his contract at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Hack’s current deal expires in 2027 but after a strong debut season at Borussia Park, his contract will be extended until 2029 and he will receive a pay rise.
Roland Virkus wanted him to stay at Gladbach as he is seen as a key player, however, due to a foot injury in the summer Hack has predominantly been a bench player in the first quarter of the season only starting one game and has struggled to reach his form from last season.
The 26-year-old joined Gladbach last summer from Arminina Bielefeld for €1m and in his first season scored 13 and assisted three which resulted in interest from Juventus and VfB Stuttgart, but he stayed at Gladbach.
So far, Gladbach are 14th in the Bundesliga two points clear of the relegation places. The team struggles in defence and in attack with summer signings Tim Kleindienst and Kevin Stöger doing most of the heavy lifting, while the likes of Hack struggle to influence games.
