Robinho Jr cleared by Santos to travel to Italy as clubs enquire and price outlined | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have allowed forward Robinho Jr to travel to Italy to finalise passport and residency paperwork, an arrangement agreed with the club hierarchy. The 18-year-old has interest from Italian sides and family ties there from his father Robinho’s Milan spell.

Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano, along with Genoa, have made enquiries about his situation, though no official bids have arrived. Santos would welcome an overseas exit, but want a paid loan with an obligation to buy, or a permanent sale worth at least €10 million, nearly R$ 60 million.

He was left out of the squad for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Mirassol at Vila Belmiro in the Brasileiro. He has not featured for more than a month, last coming off the bench in the 4-1 win over UCV of Venezuela on 21 July in the Sudamericana play-off second leg.

This year he has 12 appearances, five in the Paulistão, four in the Brasileiro and three in the Sudamericana. He briefly used the name Juninho in a July friendly against União São João at the Pacaembu, scoring a penalty, before reverting to Robinho Jr.

Juninho is a long-standing academy nickname, and team-mates and coach Cuca often use it. He wears the number 7 in homage to his father. Across the senior side he has 27 appearances and one assist, remains under-20 eligible for two more years, and is contracted until 30 March 2031.
